EARLY'S of WITNEY 4 POINT 92 X 74 WOOL BLANKET PRISTINE/DRY CLEANED

This listing is for a pristine EARLY'S of WITNEY 4 POINT BLANKET. It is about 92" x 74". It was made in Witney England (near Oxford/Oxfordshire) it is pure wool. It was just dry cleaned as well; the tag is attached. The "points" are the 4 black lines and were/are used as a guide for the size of the blanket. There are black, yellow, red and green stripes on the heading. Each stripe is about 3. A little known fact - before Pendleton and Hudson Bay, Early's were supposedly the first blankets brought over to Hudson Bay to be traded with the Native Americans. "Point" is thought to come from the French verb "empointer", meaning to make stitches on cloth.

EARLY'S of WITNEY was founded in 1669. These blankets are no longer made unfortunately and that means increasingly difficult to find a good one. By that I mean a blanket that is not a knock-off, not torn, stained pulled or dirty. The colors on this blanket are vibrant.

As mentioned previously, it was just dry cleaned. There are not any defects nor strange odors.

It is difficult to photograph the entire blanket, even on my king size bed. I couldn't capture the whole blanket without a ladder.

This blanket is a knockout and is absolutely beautiful.
